Welcome to the Harlem-Bronx Region of the Soka Gakkai International!

Greetings to all of our friends and guests!
The Harlem-Bronx Region of the SGI is now on the web!

The Harlem-Bronx Region of the SGI is part of the New York Zone of the SGI-USA, which is a culturally diverse Nichiren Buddhist association with 70 centers located throughout the United States. It is an affiliate of Soka Gakkai International, under the leadership of President Daisaku Ikeda. It has 12 million members in 192 countries and territories. SGI's community based activities invite a shared commitment to the values of peace, culture and education.

This site serves as a localized version of our much bigger and greater effort that is operated by the SGI, which is www.sgi-usa.org. If you're a guest and you're not yet familiar with that site, it'd be a great favor to yourself and to your prosperity in life if you spend some time there as well. The SGI spares no expense to ensure that through that site, you're left well-fed with wisdom, information, and thought.

If you're a member of the SGI and either live in Harlem, The Bronx, Washington Heights, Inwood, or are close-by (or even if you're far away as well!) we welcome you and we're glad to make sure that you're kept up to date on the going-ons of the SGI Harlem-Bronx Region such as Group Discussion Meetings, Study Meetings, Tosos, and other big events that may be specific to a particular month.

We've also taken advantage of the functionality of the internet and made the site purely interactive. If you're a member of The Harlem-Bronx Region or another local area, we're glad to let you in as a subscriber to this site so that you can interact with the rest of us and so that you can be kept up to date - both by this site's updates and email broadcasts - so that all of the events that take place, you'll know about. Here, you'll also know who everyone is - and through this site, you'll have a good way of knowing exactly where to find us.

Events

Want to Attend an Event? Great!

We're glad to see all of our current SGI Members attending all events local here to The Harlem-Bronx Region and also down at the New York Culture Center in Manhattan. If you are a current subscriber to this site, simply login and visit the events group for that particular chapter to find the address and telephone information for the host of the event.

If you are not a member of SGI and are interested in attending as a welcomed guest, simply send an email to info@sgi-hbx.org with your First and Last name, Zip Code, and telephone number. One of our leaders within the district local to you will get back to you by telephone to speak with you. Or, if you were referred here by someone you know, simply give them a call and have them take you along for the event. It's just that simple.

We'd all be glad to have you with us!
